Today in many parts of the USA there are heat records being broken, with over 100′ F. being recorded as this post is going online.
So… taking a different approach than past posts, here is a somewhat “lite” commentary on the fear of heat – thermophobia. The definition of thermophobia that is on Wikipedia today includes the “abnormal fear of heat and hot places.” However in the photo below, the abnormal part was removed, as on days like today, even the media – weatherpeople and reporters – warn us of the danger of the heat. A healthy fear? Perhaps. Stay cool.
